"Be Careful of Your Friends"

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers." (2 Corinthians 6:14)

Reflection:

One of the problems that I have always had in life is picking my friends.
I have to admit my track record is not so good. How does the phrase go
"With friends like you who needs enemies". Unfortunately this has been
true in my life. I have been accused of being naive in finding friends. In my
attemp to help others, I have made unwise alliances with those who certainly
did not love God. In my zeal to help them, they have created small disasters
in my life. But I have learned, not to quit trusting people, but to trust more in
God. I have discovered with the help of God, I have friends who are true to
their faith and to their friendship with me. It's nice to be able to trust again!

I think this is a good thing to remember, "right and wrong can never be
partners".

Prayer:

Oh mighty God, help me to be able to trust again, give me wisdom to find
friends who share my zeal for the love of God. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING
GOD. In Jesus Name Amen.
